Whats with the RPM gauges of this game. Sounds are crap, and engines dont even rev realistically with the RPM's. so lame...

had to revisit the game, so recently bought a bulk of games i used to own on the 360 to play them again. unfortunately, my main save file on my then xbox live account is only accessible if i update the game to the newest version, which doesnt update for me lol so then i just decided to start fresh from my current xbox account, and boy am i having a great time. granted, no online features due to the server shut down, but regardless the singleplayer alone is still heaps of fun for me. the ai are much slower than i remembered, and the physics are quite good at least from the limits im able to reach with each class. cautiously optimistic for solar crown since they announced its going to be permanently online, which sucks considering what recently happened to the crew. one can hope

Honestly, my all time favorite feature of TDU2 was the dealer experience and the homes. Having an avatar who can walk through the world and immerse me in the vehicle buying process, living/vehicls storage experience, etc is so nice. PGR4 was the only other game I can think of that got close with their own weird housing feature.

Literally playing this now, but the handling with a T300RSGT feels close to Forza Horizon 4 and 5, maybe even Heat... just a bit more grippy. On controller though on Sport settings, it feels like driving in Vice City. Here are my settings: Thrustmaster Control Panel: 540 degrees, everything else your preference In game: Game Settings: Driving Aid:Hardcore Controller Configuration: Vibration: Max Steering Sensitivity: 0 Deadzone: 0 Hope this helps anyone out there.

I think the reason and sole reason tdu is coming back after such a long hiatus just bcuz of how so far ahead they were for their time, almost every aspect from tdu 1 and 2 is implemented in the newest racing games every year, forzavista was literally ripped right out of tdu 1 and that’s is one of the things forza is praised for

Two questions please if you or anyone knows about Solar Crown: 1) Isn't the game still set to be a live service release? (basically requiring an internet connection to play/launch and also ofc meaning they can [and they always do at some point] simply kill the whole game at their time of choosing) - Or did they eventually listen to the core fan base and not decide to ruin the whole experience... (?) 2) Will player homes now be available on release? Last I heard they were going to introduce this ESSENTIAL feature later on at some undisclosed point in time **sigh** ... Thanks.

Text chat is not essential, rather focus on driving than typing. And sure, if you're stuck with 2 - 3 other players in a free roam session of an almost dead games, sure everyone is going to try to be friendly. But if modern open world games have 1000s of players, then it can heat up pretty quickly.

I just got back into TDU the original and so far I'm enjoying the driving physics even though drifting is still not great. And I started off driving to the top of the map doing the $20K every two minutes to get money started. Once I unlock the race where I use the S7 twin turbo Saleen turn 15K every 20 seconds. I can't remember what the third one was but I think it's 60k every 20 seconds. Towards the upper middle of once it's unlocked. I wish the game offered more customization, however I do enjoy what the game has. I used to have all the car packs and realistic mode with working suspension. That was super fun.

Forza Horizon got their barn find system from this game.
